- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪My experience with Dr Van Tassel and Asheville Cardiology Associates was very good. They rapidly and accurately diagnosed my problem and gave me my options. Dr. Van Tassel told me what he would do if it were his decision and I followed his advice although I really didn't like it. I had an excellent outcome and have never regretted trusting his advice. The only possible negative is that they have been taken over by a large hospital and I have seen cases in other cities where that sort of management change has been detrimental to patient care. The hospital has an excellent reputation for cardiac care, however. Because of the altitude, there is a surprising volume of cardiac illness being treated here, which I think has made Asheville an attractive place for cardiologists and heart surgeons to locate (besides the general attractiveness of the community). I practiced medicine for a couple of years in Asheville before retiring in 2008. I know of no cardiology group that I would prefer to Asheville Cardiology Associates.January 11, 2017by A Google User
